Dear Hafen Elementary School Families,
The safety and security of our students is our highest priority. I am writing to address a safety concern that has circulated recently and reassure our school community that our campus is completely safe.
This morning, a concern was reported regarding a verbal comment made by a student about bringing a weapon to school. The administration immediately investigated the matter. We met directly with the student and the guardians.
At no time was any weapon brought to campus, no emergency safety protocols were required, and no students or staff were ever in danger. The situation is fully resolved.
We are deeply grateful to the student who spoke up to report what they heard. We encourage all families to continue speaking with their children about the importance of bringing any safety concerns to a trusted adult right away.
