Thank you so much for your patience as we launched our new dismissal procedures this week. We sincerely apologize for the long wait times on the first day of school.
We heard your feedback and have already made several updates to help things run smoother:
* **Relocated Hug & Go:** Moved closer to the school building, right by the palm trees and bike rack, to streamline traffic and pickup.
* **New Signage:** Added clear signs around the area to help guide parents and visitors.
* **Staff Familiarization:** Our team is working quickly to learn all the new faces of our incoming kindergarten families.

Manse families- Bus 2 is running 10 minutes behind. They just arrived on campus at 3:36pm. Those students were waiting in the cafeteria with a/c.
Greetings Manse Families! This is a reminder that our arrival & dismissal procedures have been updated for the 26/27 school year. We will be enforcing hug and go, drive thru and bus as the only options for arrival and dismissal. For security and safety reasons parents will be asked to stay on the west side of the drive thru closest to the parking lot. Kindergarten parents only will be permitted to walk their Kindergarten student into the building and drop them at the MPR on August 5th only. The safety and security of our students is our highest priority. I am writing to provide clarity regarding a report we received yesterday after school and to assure you that our school remains a safe environment for learning.
Please be assured that we have been in contact with the parents of the students directly involved.
Yesterday, school leadership was alerted to a verbal threat made by a student involving a weapon. We immediately launched a thorough investigation in coordination with Nye County Sheriff’s deputies. Our investigation confirmed that the student was not in possession of a weapon and does not have access to one.
The student involved will face the strictest disciplinary consequences in accordance with the law and district policy.
We share this information to prevent the spread of misinformation and to reinforce that we will always prioritize student safety above all else. We are grateful to the students who came forward to report their concerns; their responsibility is what helps keep our school community safe.

Recently, a report was made through SafeVoice regarding a potential threat. We immediately partnered with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Office of Emergency Management to investigate. Experts have determined that this was a "swatting" attempt, a hoax designed to cause disruption, which has affected numerous schools in Nevada today with identical messages.
The situation is resolved, and our campus is safe for school to proceed normally. There will be an increased law enforcement presence on campus throughout the day to provide extra support and peace of mind for our students and staff.
We are grateful for the systems that allow for quick reporting and for the swift action of our local law enforcement.
